Intent:
The end goal is to have signatures on paper and money change hands. Not every decision is made, just
enough comfort level to write a check.
Benefit:
Doesn’t delay the Set Up of the job. Allows you to start funding the right labor source to begin working
out details to finalize the agreement. Finalization happens at the shop drawing phase, using the contract as a guideline.
Examples: The customer has a contract but is not sure on the profile. Our response, “it doesn’t matter if
it’s the Salem, Jamison or Marcus profile; all of them are pretty much the same price because they’re all the same
size. You don’t have to decide that today. But it is important that we get a job number pulled or we won’t be
able to meet your deadline.”
Definition
When the project is funded with a signature on the contract we can proceed to expel resources to further
delineate the requirements.
